Work to restore the Cumberland House terrace

Phase one of the new Butterfly House project at Cumberland House Natural History Museum has been underway since mid-December. This operation will see the current butterfly house removed and the terrace behind the house brought back to its former glory.

A new ramp will be installed at the same time improving access for everyone to the building.

As the museum cannot be open for these works we are taking this opportunity to carry out essential work to the historic interior.

The museum will re-open April 2017.
